is it really worth it for the yanks or the red sox to give up what they are offering for Santana?
in case you don't know:
NYY proposal: SPs Ian Kennedy, Phill Hughes
CF: Melky Cabrera
BoSox Proposal: SPs Jon Lester, Justin Matterson
CF: Coco Crisp
SS: Jed Lowrie (he's the main reason that the Twins seem to be leaning towards Red Sox proposal at the moment)

The BoSox's deal

They get one of the best center fielders and pretty good SPs as well as a SS. I personally think it is a bad deal for the BoSox.

The RED SOX will make the deal happen and here's why. They said they will trade Lester, Buchholtz or Ellsbury but not more than 1 of the 3 The TWINS want either Ellsbury OR Buchholz. The Yankees only have 1 guy the TWINS really want and that's Chamberlain and the Yankees can't trade him and if that wasn't the case the deal would be done by now.

The RED SOX know that if they get Santana the Yankees are D-O-N-E for at least the next 5 years and they have the players to trade and the money to spend. the Yankees have the money but not the players.

The package the SOX have put together is (at face value since nothing is confirmed) Better than the Yankees offer simply because Lester is already a great lefty with Post season experience, Crisp is the BEST defensive CF without a gold Glove and Lowrie is one of the top SS prospects in the minors. Masterson is another great pitcher who will be ready to go in another year. the Yankees package as far as I've seen reported is Ian Kennedy, who is the least attractive of the Yanks 3 pitching prospects, Melky Cabrerra who isn't that great offensively by good in the field and I believe there was also a minor leaguer included but Phil Hughes was not in the offer.

Advantage: RED SOX

First, The Yankees proposal, was either Hughes or Kennedy and Cabrera. The Bo-Sox also have contemplated Buckholtz or Ellsbury, in place of Lester or Crisp, and third the Twins are deeper in talks with the Yankees right now. Here's how it will work...The top three teams ( Mets, Yankees, and Bosox) all have "untouchables" Reyes of the Mets, Cano and Chamberlain of the Yankees, and Buckholtz Ellsbury of the Sox. If the Twins make the trade, and trust me they will. It will be which ever team is the first to offer one of the untouchables. Billy Smith (Twins GM) is patient enough to wait it out if he needs to. He will wait till the trade deadline if he has to, but he will get one of the "untouchables," and chances are, the Yankees will land him. A) The players: The twins need CF, Pitcher, and 3B Cabrera good young talent, Kennedy Hughes or Chamberlain and Cano they won't fill all three holes, with the trade that way, but they will fill 1 or 2. B) Santana has a no trade clause, which means the team that trades for him pretty much would have to offer him an extension within 48-76 hours, or he would cancel the trade. C) seeing as that no trade clause is there, the Yankees have the most money to land him right now and would thus be able to push the deal across the finish line.

Heres the prediction. Santana to NY for Hughes, Cabrera, and Chamberlain.

Hes not going to either of the teams the Twins got a SS in the TBay Trade (Harris is a very good player ) and they are not gonna want people that seem to dissapear over the course of a season Crisp/Melky ...for the guy that thinks Crisp is a gold glove center fielder has never seen Curtis Granderson (Tigers) EASILY the best fileding out-fielder in the game (other people just have the name...its not even close..his one career error is when he threw to the base where he was supposed to and no one covered 2 nd (his Error) playing in Comerica is ALOT harder than playing in Fenway (Fenway u go 2 steps left or 2 steps right thats it)

I don't think it is for the Yankees because I think eventually Ian Kennedy and Phil Hughes will turn into pitchers as good as or just about as good as Santana.

Boston however can spear Lester because they already have several good starters, can spear Crisp because they have Elsbury and I don't really know much about the other two, but anyway...

Let's be real, the Yanks need the pitching help, but don't want to let go of their prospects, the Sox don't need pitching, and might not be able to afford Santana's contract.

I see him coming to the West Coast. The Angels have both deep pockets and a stable of prospects.

I like the Yankees' proposal but I think both are complete BS. The Twins are leaking ridiculous offers so GMs will call them and raise the stakes.

the best trading software http://tradingsolution.info

i have attended a lot of seminars, read counless books on forex trading and it all cost me thousands of dollars. the worst thing was i blew up my first account. after that i opened another account and the same thing happened again. i started to wonder why i couldn,t make any money in forex trading. at first i thought i knew everything about trading. finally i found that the main problem i have was i did not have the right mental in trading. as we know that psychology has great impact on our trading result. apart from psychology issue, there is another problem that we have to address. they are money management, market analysis, and entry/exit rules. to me money management is important in trading. i opened another account and start to trade profitably after i learnt from my past mistake. i don't trade emotionally anymore.

if you are serious about trading you need to address your weakness and try to fix it. no forex guru can make you Professional trader unless you want to learn from your mistake.

To be honest, by far they should trade for the Yankee prospects. Unless Boston included Clay Bucholz and Jacoby Ellsbury.

the BoSox cause they get a dominant pitcher, get rid of an ok cf, get rid of a medeoker sp, and who cares about prospects its all about the now. Johan Santana, DiceK, Schil,BECKETT, and Wakefield or whoever else there is. imagine that kind of fire power on ur team. can u say CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!
