As of now I think the SF giants have the best starting rotation.

Tim Lincecum 4-0 56Ks 1.70ERA
Barry Zito 5-0 28Ks 1.49ERA
Matt Cain 1-1 24Ks 2.84ERA
Jonathan Sanchez 2-2 37Ks 2.48ERA

Todd Wellemeyer <--- Should be ELIMINATED from the rotation. 1-3 18Ks 5.55ERA

All SF starters ERA are below 3 except Wellemeyer

It's good to see the Giants are actually living up to my expectations. I have them winning the wild card, and they could really do some damage in the playoffs with those 4 starters and good hitting (Kung Fu Panda!)

Other than the Giants, I would say the Yankees have the next best rotation right now as far as numbers go (minus Vazquez, just like you eliminated Wellemeyer)

CC Sabathia 4-1 30Ks 2.74ERA

AJ Burnett 4-0 28Ks 1.99ERA

Andy Pettitte 4-0 27Ks 2.08ERA

Phil Hughes 3-0 24Ks 1.44ERA

Javier Vazquez 1-3 20Ks 9.78ERA (but we can ignore him)

Actually, now that I look at the numbers, the Yankees definitely have the best 4-man rotation even when run support is disregarded. Top four pitchers are 15-1 with a 2.40-ish ERA

Its gotta be the Cardinals

Adam Wainwright 4-1 36Ks 1.96 ERA

Chris Carpenter 4-0 39Ks 2.84 ERA

Brad Penny 3-2 24Ks 1.99 ERA

Jaime GarcĂa 3-1 23Ks 1.13 ERA

Kyle Lose 0-1 15Ks 5.28 ERA - But he has been a pretty good pitcher throughout his career and is definitely better than Wellemeyer

As a Phillies fan, I'd like to say the Phillies do; just give them a few more games and they'll work out their issues. Halladay is obviously awesome; Hamels will work out his issues; Blanton is a workhorse; Kendrick is good, he just needs to work through confidence issues; and Moyer can still strike guys out at 47 years of age. However, this is just a biased fan's opinion and it doesn't really stack up to reality. I think it's funny that people state their opinions, but then choose to "ignore" players who prove their opinions wrong. A rotation consists of 5 men, not 4. Without a doubt, the St. Louis Cardinals have the best roation in baseball. They have 3 pitchers with an ERA under 2: Wainwright (1.96), Brad Penny (1.99), and Jamie Garcia (1.13). The Yankees and Giants only have 2 pitchers each with an ERA under 2: Burnett (1.99) and Hughes (1.44) for the Yankees, and Lincecum (1.70) and Zito (1.49) for the Giants. And looking at that 5th pitcher, who everyone wants to ignore, Wellemeyer-SanF. (5.55), Vazquez-NYY (9.78), and Loshe-StL (5.28), shows out of the 3 three teams, the Cardinals have the best 5th starter based upon ERA. Out of the three teams, the Giants rotation leads in strike outs with 160 thanks to an impressive 56 Ks by Lincecum (but let's remember one man does not make a rotation), the Cardinals are second with 137 Ks, and the Yankees are third with 129. However, if we look at the number of walks given up by each rotation, the Cardinals have given up the fewest (53), the Giants are second (60), and the Yankees are third (65). Based upon these numbers, it's clear the Cardinals have the best rotation.

Right now it's the Giants but I believe the Red Sox have the most talented rotation and will have the best stats at the end of the year. Bias maybe but every single pitcher in the Sox rotation has the potential and in many cases the track record to be great or above average.

You playing cards rotation means. i in my opinion supply a exceptional form of credit to your adult adult males. I advise the Rangers have good pitching too however the playing cards have a sprint greater journey and have had greater offense to help your pitchers. i'm a huge fan of Carp and Wainwright. I only desire I had them the two by way of fact Carp has shown that he could be a dominant ace and Wainwright could be a no. a million on a yet another group besides. perhaps if I left Hunter, Holland, and Nippert, which would be one good rotation.

The Giants clearly have the most talented rotation in the NL. Anyone of their current starters could be an ace on another team. But considering they're pitching in the NL, i'd have to give the title to the Yankees. Phil Hughes, CC, Burnett, and Andy are having great seasons and give no signs of letting up.

As of right now I say the Yankees do, with the exception of Vaquez, the rest of the rotation has pitched well so far. I gotta admit Phil Hughes has pitched better than I even expected.

You get no arguments from me on the Giants, I'm glad that Zito is finally pitching well for them.

for some strange reason i think this season the team with the best starting pitchers will not be there in the end, i think the twins will finish on top, no body ever even knows they exist but they have great chemistry and heart this year....detroit will throw strong however
