Why do yankee fans boo their players when they are in a slump?

Red Sox are nicer. big papi in a slump - "is okay big papi keep trying"

yankee fans dont boo their players, they boo the overpaid underacheiving ones. Look at jeter he will NEVER be booed at yankee stadium, he could bat .102 and have an error a game and still not be booed. they booed tex at the beginning of the year cuz when they go sign the best available FA they expect results.



big papi is also more liked in boston than Arod in NY. and papi hasnt been busted for roids.......yet

I've never heard them do that because I never watch the Yankees unless they're playing the Sox, but if they do, that's awful and obnoxious of them. A true fan supports their team in good times AND bad times. When Papi was in his slump and came up to bat, the whole crowd would get on their feet and and encourage him, and cheer "Papi, Papi, Papi!"

ughh because when your getting paid that much money he should be hitting .400 have 40 homeruns and a 100 rbis oh and no errors. its ridicolous how much he gets paid. there are so many better/younger players than him. arod shouldnt even be aloud to play because of steroids. if he breaks the homerun record he doesnt deserve it at all. everyone except yankees fans hate him because he took steroids and mostly because his contract is ridicolous and he is one of the most overrated and underacheiving players ever.

Yankees fans just aren't as devoted as Red Sox fans are. Most of the Yankees fans just jump on the banwagon anyway..they're not real fans. They like the team with the most money, and when one of their top paid players is in a slump, it makes them mad. The Red Sox fans actually care about their players.

Every player they have is expected to be a superstar, and half the time they think they are. When they don't put up superstar figures, people get annoyed at them.
