Your thoughts on Ryan Braun's supposed PED positive test?
GTAP!!

I know I'm late but I want to know people's opinions on this story.

I'm honestly sadden by the news because now I have lost faith that these players are playing honestly and demand that we do a weekly drug test.

As a Brewers fan, I feel obligated to defend Ryan, and I will continue to do so.

A report has claimed that Braun demanded that the test be re-taken after he failed the first test, and he did so. If this claim was accurate, then Braun did not test positive on the second take. If so, this may be enough evidence to clear his name, but not cleanly absolve his reputation.

I'll be praying that the test results are proven to be inaccurate, but at this point we can only hope. Fans of other teams should be hoping for these results to be false as well, because this kind of thing is NOT good for baseball. Hearing people be happy about this simply because he plays for a rival team is ridiculous. Wouldn't you want to beat your competitors knowing that they were playing at full strength?

I may be viewed as a homer for defending Ryan, but I truly have a hard time believing these allegations. I'm crushed, and it honestly makes me feel like crying...the dude is my role model.

Really disappointed I really believe Ryan to be among one of the most young and talented players of this era. It was always fun to watch him play with so much passion and yet remaining humble to the game. It's just a shock to see him be positive on PEDS. Honestly I expected this more from Fielder than from him but then again anyone playing baseball can be on PEDS. I just cant believe they are stupid enough to think they can get away with it. But I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

not sure read that one test was positive then the second test was negative.

I think maybe they MLB, FBI< CIA etc etc should check into the drug testing places first. It could have been human error on the testing place. OR it could have been an ENERGY drink that may have cause the spike in the first test.

That is why we all should get a second option on all our blood test, mri etc etc. human error is the leading cause of all false test results.

I feel that all awards should be given out after the final drug tests are completed. Then the awards should be given out.

The next question is "is there a pay out for the rich ball clubs/players who pay their way out of a failed drug test?

Mass respect lost. I wanted either him or Fielder to win the MVP because a. I don't like Kemp or the Dodgers and b. I was pretty sure Votto wasn't going to win it. I had a lot of respect for those two, because they are quality players. Actually, I wanted Fielder to win it more than Braun. It's just sad...he just won the MVP, which made me happy, but that's a lot of respect I had, out the window now.

Sports center just said he had more than double the amount of PEDS, than the highest ever test. Either Braun was pumping massive, massive amounts of roids, or someone spiked his drink and is trying to ruin his reputation.

It feels like a slap in the face.

I liked him a lot and he's probably one of my favorite modern players. To see these results really makes me reconsider my favs. He really showed poor judgement (if it's for sure, positive) and it's not what an MVP is. Now I really wished Kemp got the award. Braun is so handsome... why must he be so stupid?!

These players use PEDs to get that fat contract then they lay off and their stats regress...only the teams and fans lose!

I had a huge sidebet with a friend in a roto-league and he literally beat me out by 1.5 points thanks to Ryan Braun...does this mean I get my money back!?!?!?!???

A big personal FU to Manny Ramirez, Alex Roidriguez, David Ortiz, Mo Vaughn, Barry Bonds, Mcguire, and you Ryan Braun.

I never really liked him as a player, being a rival and all, but as a person I always admired him. Now I don't like him both ways. But, if the third test proves him innocent, I'll still like him. If not, his image will always be marred.

If he's guilty and gives his MVP back, I'll still have a little respect for him.

The ethos in the sport seems to be "win at all cost". It's as if it's not cheating unless you get caught. No one knows how pervasive the problem still is but I see mostly encouragement f/ this forum for players to make as much money as they can.

No player has had a positive test overturned yet,and it is sad that these players are role models for our young children. For everyone that is caught, how many get away with it?

I don't know what to think. Did Braun basically admit to doing it? What ever the case, I'm very disappointed in him.

I think he's just the first on,e not many of the players are clean. MBL is going down the tubes, with that f**king Selig in charge.

Braun should follow his own advice to A-Rod and come clean!
