The Cubs finally got smart and got rid of him(after losing Aliou because of Sosa's attitude and conceit) to baltimore where he could not do much without his steroids and corked bats, he had a horrible season and retired, probably was asked to. I am a die hard Cubs fan and never liked sosa! good riddens baseball is better off without him

So precisely what has Sam-me finished for the Cubs?international sequence Champion Cubs? No.How approximately national League Champion Cubs? No,returned. He hasn't finished something for them different than assemble a fat paycheck,at the same time as being the main egocentric participant this area of Barry Bonds. He became a below known fielder and an known hitter till he confirmed up at spring coaching juiced up.or maybe after that,he hit living house runs and not something.So-So did no longer hit in the grab and force in the huge run,he became purely as probable to strike out on a breaking ball down and away as he became to hit a homer.Do i might desire to develop the corked bat?Or Sam-me strolling out on his teammates? The Cubs owe him no longer something.particularly the different. He owes them better than he might desire to ever pay off.

MR. Sosa is back in the Dominica Republic retired. Last year he could of played for the Washington nationals for one million dollars a year but turned it down thinking it was not enough money.

he was traded to baltimore orioles for a year. this year he was a free agent and was offered a contract by the washington nationals which he turned down. he has not yet officially retired, and is currently located in the dominican republic. he had been working out at his old high school or college in the winter, but his old coach has not heard from him the past couple months

I think he retired. Very quietly I may add. Strange how with his numbers there has been absolutely no coverage on what has happened to him...no send off no nothing.
Steroid allegations abound but everyone applauded McGuire with his size 50 head when he left.
Another one faded away after actually being caught is Palmiero.

Sosa isn't retired, he is just unemployed.

signed with The O's....then quit for fear of being caught using steroids.
He's probably hiding in his country...which is the only place where people actually like him.
