Red Sox is better with beef. White Sox is better with chicken or fish. PS you can never have too many Ramirez.

Yes. The way Manny was acting, there is no guarantee the Sox would have made the wild card run or even stayed in the AL East race had Manny still been there. He was eroding team morale. Bay gave them a lift and is a better personality in the clubhouse. He doesn't have Manny's history, but he is a really great player and a young guy who will only get better playing in the Sox organization. He's been huge in the playoffs as well. Just look at Game 2. He gave Francona every opportunity in that game. Without Bay it's not even close, but with some better pitching decisions and the Sox are up 2-0 and it's a completely different series.

Jason Bay has performed very well for the Red Sox but you can't lose a player the caliber of Manny Ramirez and be a better team. I don't believe the Red Sox took a big hit having acquired Jason Bay to replace Manny but they are certainly not a better team with Manny gone.

Some Red Sox fan comments sound like Cubs fans - blaming Manny (The curse of Manny?) and his antics for their shortcomings rather than admit they aren't good enough and are being outplayed. Can't blame Manny if The Sox front office and management couldn't control him.

Manny was willing to sabotage the Red Sox in order to get traded so he could get more money. He was constantly faking injuries and pulling himself out of the line-up so we would get rid of him. If we kept him we wouldn't have even made the playoffs, because he managed to bring our team down from a .590 win% to a .560 win% in about 2 weeks.
The Sox got swept twice by the Angels in that 2 week period between the ASG and the Trade Deadline. After what we did to them in the playoffs, it's clear that we were not playing nearly our best during those 2 regular season series. That's because Manny was bringing the entire team down.

I agree:
Boston with Manny averaged 4.9 runs per game. Boston with Jasob Bay averages 6 runs per game. The team as a whole does better with Jason Bay.

Yes, I think so................as long as Big Papi is producing, Bay will fit in nicely to the line-up, and will be a lot less drama!

Can we stop beating a dead horse please.
Yes, he was a cancer and was not going to play until he got his 20mil. The mysterious knee problem has disappeared since he went to LA. Must be the smog.
