How safe if it to wear my Yankees jersey to Fenway Park?

I have never been to Boston before, but I am a Yankees fan and have tickets to tomorrow night's Red Sox/Yankees game. I don't really feel like being heckled or attacked and don't know how friendly Red Sox fans are. Will I be okay wearing my jersey, or should I dress team neutral?

It depends where you sit. I used to travel a lot for work and went to a lot of baseball games in other cities ( I am also a Yankee fan).



If you sit in the GREY POUPON section meaning the expensive seats near the field, you will probably be OK as a lot of those people go just to be there because its the in thing to do and they arent really die hard fans.



If you sit in the cheap seats you will most likely be amongst more of the diehard type fans who might take exception to you.



But even if they do, thats why they have ushers and the usher will tell the people to leave you alone or kick them out if they throw anything or keep swearing at you.



They (the ushers) have to, its their job to keep the area safe for everyone. If not they could lose their job.



GO FOR IT AND WEAR YOUR JERSEY PROUD

Ok, from one Yankee fan to another(GO YANKEES!), please do not wear your Yankee jersey to Fenway, or to Boston for that matter. Dress Team neutral. If you wear Yankee jersey, than the Boston Red Sox fans will maul you. They will kill you. They'll boo, swear and throw garbage at you. The only way you can wear a Yankee jersey is if you find a group of hardcore Yankee fans and try to all sit in the same general area. Then, no red sox fan would ever dream of mauling you(they will boo, however). But if you can't do this, just wear a Giants jersey and say that you're still happy about Bond's 714th home run. I will close this message saying that you as a fellow Yankee fan will come out alive and triumphant and that Yankees will crush the those evil Red Sox!

It's NOT very safe to wear your Yankees jersey there or anything to do with the Yankees because the Red Sox fans will boo and probably even sware at you. I'm a Yankees fan myself and have been to Fenway Park to see a Yankees/Red Sox game and I was wearing my Yankees jersey and this one guy came up to me and said, "You shouldn't be wearing that jersey here." Also, I got a few ugly stares at me. I now know that I should NOT wear anything that has to do with the Yankees to Fenway Park, and even Boston. But, good luck with that and please follow my advice. If you have any Yankee bracelets or any jewelry that has to do with the Yankees, that would be safe because no one will really notice. Please, don't wear it! I'm a Red Sox fan, but totally cool. I have friend and co-worker who happen to be Yankees fans. I don't recommend wearing Yankees jersey at Fenway Park. There are some idiots hardcore Red Sox who did stupid thing might put you in a harm way.

If you are going to be aurrounded by Red Sox fans, especially drunk ones then it is like suicide(jk). But there should be a lot of Yankee fans there so you should be safe

It depends on what you classify as "safe". ive been to a yankees-redsox game before, and the Red Sox fans were very rowdy. depending on where you sit, (bleachers- bad. luxury box- no one cares) you will mostly have to endure a lot of heckling, but no physical violence.

Yikes! People usually drink lots of beer at baseball games so if you wore a Yankees jersey, there's a high chance you'll get heckled. If you want to enjoy yourself, stay neutral, unless you enjoy the drama!
