What are some fun softball drills to do with around ten players?

I am looking for some team oriented drills to do with my team to allow my players to practice their hitting fielding etc while in a fun, semi-competitive atmosphere. We have done things like mini-teams and things like "Round' the Horn" but it would be nice to have a few new ones to spice up practice. I would greatly appreciate a link to the drill (or a book that has some good drills), or a detailed explanation of how it works. Thanks!!

Conditioning: use the star drill and run around bases

1) divide up all the players around the bases. Have the player at second throw the ball to second base then run to first. The player at second will catch the ball and try to throw out the runner at first, then they will run to third base. The player at first will throw across the field to third base then run to second. The point is to throw across the field ahead of the runner and it works proper base running. A problem that kept reoccuring when we did the drill was that eventually the runners at the bases wouldn't be even so we would have to stop the game and re-distribute the players.

Another good drill was line catch. I hated it but it worked on proper turns and it is competitive because we would race each other. If there are any bad throws then they would have to start over and make it as competitive as you want it to be.

A drill we did was begin with a runner at home. Have them pretend to hit the ball and sprint to first base. Someone will be in the pitchers circle and on the next 'pitch', the runner will take off and steal second. The next 'pitch' would be a hit (a new runner would begin the drill at this point and go to first) and the runner at second would sprint to third, turn and look, then dive back to the bag. The next 'pitch', the runner at third will steal home like it was a wild pitch. in all the cases, the runners should be taking the base hard, being physical and aggressive.

I'm sorry if you can't under stand what I'm talking about.

1) Star Drill: Put 1 player on 1st base, 1 at 2nd, one at home, and the rest at third. Hit a ground ball to the first person in the line at third, They throw the ball to 1st then run to 1st. 1st basemen throws it to 2nd then runs to second. Then 2nd throws it home then runs home, And so on.

2) ??????: Line up your players in two straight lines like this

O

5 4 3 2 1

9 8 7 6

then put a bucket next to five (O = bucket)

1 throws the ball to 6, then 6 to 2, 2 to 7, 7 to 3, 3 to 8,

8 to 4, 4 to 9, 9 to 5, then 5 puts it in the bucket. do this about 10 times. any balls that touch the ground during this they can't pick up. See how many balls you can get in the bucket!

Hope I helped
