What's your take on the Mike Jacobs/Leo Nunez trade?

I know it helps the Marlins get out of an arbitration case, and they boost their bullpen, but I'm curious as to how Mike Jacobs fits into the KC lineup. They already have 4 first basemen (Gload, Butler, Gordon, and Shealy), not to mention that Hawaiian guy that came up late last year. Will Jacobs be more of a DH or will he take over at first?

This trade made no sense to me as the Royals. They traded a young bullpen arm who did them very well this year. And they got an aging first baseman who has some power and a terrible BA which they already have. This exactly the type of deals the Marlins do though. Trade for really good young pitching and give up bad salaries.

The Royals already have a bunch of Mike Jacobs. They've got Billy Butler, Ryan Shealy and Ross Gload still around. Why would they trade their set up guy (who could have become a starter possibly) for another low average, high power hitter?

Good trade for the Marlins because Jacobs is not worth overpaying for he's a guy that just swings for the home runs,he has a horrible OBP...The Royals will prolly use him as their DH.

I think the Royals got the best end of the deal and he may fit into the DH slot more I don't know I don't follow the Royals but if they already have 4 first basemen...that would be my guess

Yes, I think that Jacobs will be a DH, since he isn't a very good defensive first baseman, it would be better for the team to place him at DH.

The Marlins are avoiding spending money and the Royals will probably trade at least one of their other first baseman for pitching.
