completely relies upon on while your draft is. If that is late sufficient in March which you have considered him play and you will gauge no be counted if or no longer he's going to make the vast-league club, it may be properly worth a late-around %.. If he does make the vast club he'd exchange right into a key component of the middle area of the order, probably hitting 6th or so with lots of RBI opportunities and that ballpark is a comedian tale, you should probably hit 20 homeruns there, so Sosa--if he's healthful--shouldn't conflict to do an analogous. So, i could say particular. If he's putting up respectable numbers in Spring preparation and looks to have locked up a niche on the roster...make a late-around circulate to strengthen your outfield intensity. Worst case state of affairs...you drop him some weeks later.

I don't believe he took steroids either, Sammy Sosa has been one of my favorite all-time players. He got caught ONCE using a corked bat, and everyone made a big deal out of it.
He's 39, and he could be a good DH for a team that needs once. The problem is, he probably will want some money like $5-10 million.

Sosa has seen his better days and would be more of a distraction than an attraction. I'd love to see the Cubs sign him too. LOL

Hghinjector?
It is impossible to naturally change from a fast-as-Vince Coleman 5'10 / 170 to a slow-as-a-snail 6'3 / 230 within a few years. Before you thumb me down, know that I am not picking on you as a Cubs fan. (After all, I put Ryno as my 2nd baseman on my all-time faves that I have seen live since I started watching baseball in 1986) I am being criticial of your denying the obvious changes in Sosa's body, and that of hundreds of other MLB players over the years. (and it's still going on) To me steroids / hgh in MLB is like AIDS in high-risk communities. No my friend it merely had another name before it was brought to the government's attention.
Cubs_Fan : thank you for your e-mail. I suppose I should have specified what I meant by "a few years"

He's like Barry Bonds right now. He hits around twenty homers a year and has an average BA. He asks for a big contract, but will not deliver as much as his contract was worth. He'll be similar to last year's Barry Bonds. The Giants signed him for around $16 million. The only upside was that he was an attraction when he chasing after the all-time career home runs.

Sammy Sosa told his agent that he doesn't want to him to go and ask other teams if they would want him. He might playing in the Dominican Winter League if he still wants to play or he might retire. He doesn't want to force a team to sign him and he doesn't want to be on a team that doesn't want him.

I'd love to see Sosa back in uniform for any team.
He deserves another shot to prove he still has it.

I am glad to see him gone.. not only did he use steroids and hgh, but lied about it as well. That wasn't even the end of it when they found out he was using corked bats.
A cheater is always a cheater, and I personally don't want to watch them play

steroids and no one wants to deal with the questions and distractions... and he can't hit without them. Same reason Bonds isn't playing either. Too little for too much money

Maybe they called him and he couldn't understand them because they were speaking English.
Too much Baggage.
