How much is it worth?

I own one of the original Christy Mathewson baseball cards -- it's small because it was featured inside cigarette packs in the 1920's. is in good condition - tiny bit crinkled at the edges. Anyone have a guesstimate for me?

The W520 and W522 sets from 1920-22 are the only sets from the 20's that produced a Mathewson, that I know of. These were exhibits, not tobacco cards.

These are fairly rare but not overly popular, probably worth a few hundred bucks depending on condition



Most tobacco cards were issued prior to 1915.

Assuming it is an original, not a reprint, it is probably worth a fair amount, depending on the condition and the set.



The T205 gold border card is probably worth between $300 and $1,000 depending on condition. The T206 white borders are probably slightly less.



The Turkey Red would be worth a little more. If you have a 1915 CrackerJack card, it's worth considerably more, but that is not that small nor a tobacco card.

What? It's not a reprint? It's an original? Based on the condition of the card you described, I would say about $3,000-$10,000 depending on the scarity of it and if you find the right collector. Good luck. That's a nice card.

Conservative would be 3 grand...even not prestine that thing should be worth some cake at auction.
