When Mauer signed that contract on the dotted line with the Minnesota Twins it was basically a contract to get his butt kicked by the Yankees every year in the postseason?

Its kinda pathetic. He can get one if the following situations occur:

1 He asks to be traded by the deadline to a team who has a shot to go to the world series

2 Bribe other teams to be better than the Yankees so the Twins don't have to deal with them

3 Ask the winning team if he can have one

4 Buy one on ebay

How is that funny? Joe Mauer is still great! One player cannot win games it takes a team. I respect mauer for sticking with the Twins. Lets see where Posey ends up

Just think- if the Yankees had won the AL East, the Twins would have played the Wild Card Rays, instead.

Remember, there's ALWAYS going to be a chance the Twins 'don't' play the Yankees in the postseason.

Mauer will never get one if he stays with the Twins. The Twins just don't strike me as a WS winner. They can get there every year, but just not winning.

If they can sign Cliff somehow, it might be a different story. :)

Do not count Minnesota out.The Twins are a Class Organization and they are not

exactly strangers to the World Series. They might not be able to compete with the

purse strings of other clubs but they know how to win.

To people that have no clue what the word "funny" means, I suppose it would be.

To anyone that actually has a reasonable command of the English language, no it wouldn't.
