I've been to the New cathedral of the game 6 times already but not to Citi Field yet. My friend says its better than the cathedral but it cant be right?? They dont honor the Mets history at all I've heard (not that they have any history other than losing to us in 2000!!)
Whats it like?

recent polls show citi field is better. i like citi because the new stadium, if you took away the beautiful scoreboard, looks exactly the same as the old one. sure yankee stadium has a bunch of luxury clubs that youll never step in to, but who wants to pay money to eat at the hard rock cafe after paying 200 dollars to get into the place?
and if you think the mets have no other history other than losing to you in 2000,(which was a team led by a lying cheater) you might wanna brush up on your baseball.

I've been to both the new Yankee Stadium and Citi Field once each this year. People are always saying that there isn't enough Mets logo's in Citi. Citi does have alot of things to do and it is a great atmosphere. It is a great amercian ballpark. On the other hand, I believe that Yankee Stadium is the best sporting stadium in the world. They have museums, resuurants, luxury clubs, Monument Park, and many other great features. The only things that could be fixed could be ticket prices and food prices. Tickets behind home plate are so much money and if you buy a beer from the consession stands, it costs about six dollars for a beer. That isn't important, though. Citi Field and the new Yankee Stadium are both great stadiums to watch a ball game at, but if I had to choose which stadium was better , I would choose Yankee Stadium by a longshot.

I haven't been to either, but watching them on tv, I like Yankee Stadium. Though, if you're a pitcher, you should probably go with Citi because it's less of a hitter's park. Yankee stadium has so much history within it's walls, even though it's brand new, when you say "Yankee stadium", what do you think of? Babe Ruth. Lou Gherig. Yankee legends. I wish Shea stadium was still there, because it was an icon of New York City. Jackie Robinson. Tom Glavine. David Wright. Don't get me wrong, both are great parks, but YS takes the cake.

Citi field has less of thier own history and players, moments etc... on the walls and stuff so yankee stadium just feels like a more "comfortable" BASEBALL stadium for the fans. Citi field is great if you're going to look around for a while before the game because of their state of the art concessions. The food is unbeatable and their concession center behind center field is makes you feel like your at a food court in an amusement park rathar than at a baseball game Once the game starts, citi's value really declines because most fans want to watch the game over walking around the concessions. Oh, and if you have any kids, they can play at the little wiffleball field in the back before the game(or during the game if you really want to go there instead of watching...)
