I know the cubs-sox game was on sunday but after Jim edmonds hit 2 homers in the same inning against them on saturday he said and i quote "Jim doesn't scare me. I'll pitch to him anytime." Well then how come he ordered an intentional walk against edmonds in sunday's game? I think that may have made ozzie eat his words.

I actually think Ozzie was comparing facing Edmonds over Soriano. I think he meant he would prefer to face Edmonds, saying he was a .217 hitter. I guess he didn't realize Edmonds was hitting over .300 since coming to the Cubs. I know Edmonds is going to turn 38 in 3 days, but I guess Ozzie also forgot he's hit 367 hrs and drove in over 1100 runs. (career numbers)

Sometimes, things he says, don't come out right.

He probably learned it from Kenny Williams (White Sox GM).

Williams recently said that it made him mad that all of Chicago didn't celebrate the White Sox success when they won the WS in 2005.

Later, when asked if he would ever consider being GM of the Cubs if offered, and he replied "Not a chance" because I would be a 'traitor' if I were to ever do that.

Well, let's see Mr. Williams...so you don't think that Cubs fans rooting for the White Sox is treason, but you do think that Sox fans rooting for the Cubs is? Now that is being a hypocrite.

Mr. Kenny Williams, who are you crappin'?

Oh, and now that the White Sox are gone, that mysterious rat problem has disappeared from Wrigley. Coincedence?

Ozzie is the biggest jackass in baseball and possible sports. You can say that he is almost the Charles Barkley of baseball with a bad broken english accent. He gets aways with the crap that he says because believe it or not but his players love and respect him greatly. The guy never shuts up so after a while, you can't take everything that he says seriously. Take what he says with a grain of salt. I will give him credit though but alot of his comments tend to be very true and honest and sometimes public criticism can motivate the players(of course it is always temporary).

Oh, I get it. Managers are supposed to do what they tell the media they are going to do. I never knew that. But then, Ozzie won the World Series in '05. Which Cubs' manager won with the Cubs? Gosh, I don't know that I ever knew his name. I'd have to go look up the 1908 team to find out! Maybe Cub managers doing what they told the media they would do is the reason they've lost all this time. Think about it!

I think we need to give poor Ozzie a break. he obviously had more important things on his mind then the games last weekend. Of much bigger importance to him were making sure the rats didn't get him, and finding a good parking space.

The poor man was dealing with a lot of serious s**t..
