They've been blown out by the Kansas City Royals 2 straight games already and the twins will sure do catch up with them and get the 1st place pennant...

Don't ya think?

They will be fine and they will still win the division.

They're just going through a rough patch right now pitching wise. It's been a long season and their starters have gotten a little tired. Even though he's not a good as he once was, when Contreras comes back the rotation should settle down a little and Linebrink should do the same with the bullpen.

I think Griffey wants to go deep into the playoffs and realizes that this might be one of his few remaining chances. I think he's going to play hard and do all that he can to not become a problem. He's already making tons of money and he know's he' already in the HOF so now he wants to win it all.

The Twins have been playing well of late but these are the same Twins that like the Sox are having a Jeckle and Hyde season. They are just as capable of losing 5 or 6 in a row as they are in winning 5 or 6 in a row. Plus, now they have to play lots of games on the road on grass.

The Sox will be fine.

PS:

You don't win the pennant by winning your division. You need to be a league champion to win the pennant.

well the Royals need some respect. They have a decent starting staff. And their closer is one of the up and coming stars of the game, they just need a few years to develop the young guys and i think they will be a team contending. The white sox are overacheiving anyways, and plus the fact that central this year has been terrible, i think in time the twins will be leading this division and the white sox will miss the playoffs. They made no significant trades outside of the Griffey trade, and i dont know if they will get them very far, he isnt as young and agile as he was, and putting him in center could hurt them, and he is very injury prone so the trade could be a big bust, i feel that if griffey stays healthy and their starting pitching comes along they might have a shot with the twins.

Again calm down this is just a game and yes it looks like the Sox will be outta first place today, but there is still many games to play and the Sox will not just give up.

The Twins will win the wild card though

the season is not over yet. and that is just two games, its not a big deal. remember that the white sox just got griffey jr. when griffey jr gets settled in, he'll do wonders for the sox. hes got a hot bat and a great glove. just give it some time. but i do want the twins to take the AL central pennant, sorry. but in order for them to do that they are going to have to work hard. the white sox are a good team. i like griffey jr, but i wish that he didn't go to the white sox.

The White Sox will soon find out that Ken Griffey is not the answer to their needs. He will complain about getting pulled out of the game early and about batting low in the order and will be the same cancer he was with the Reds. Thats all I got.

Griffey will help the team know with more pop in his bat they will heat up at home and get the crowd going and wins lots of games but get eleminated right away in the first round
