The 1974 Pittsburgh Pirates and the 1995 Cincinnati Reds are the only 2 teams since 1903 to start 0-6 and still make the postseason. Neither started 0-7 and neither team even made it to the World Series. They both lost in the NLCS.

So, if the Tigers were to win it all this year, they'd be the first team to start 0-7 to win it, the first to make it as far as the WS after a 0-7 start and the first team to even make postseason play after a 0-7 start.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres are both very good teams and would have put up a better fight than the Angels did against the Red Sox. The Rockies really really believe in themselves and I am pretty sure they will figure out a way to get the hits needed to win. I do not expect a "rusty" team to show up in the AL park next week - I think they can-do-it and win the World Series - maybe even go 4-0

None. There were only two teams a while ago who went 0-6 in the beginning of the season that made it to the playoffs, but neither made it to the WS. No team who has started 0-7 has even made it to the playoffs.

No team...in fact, no team ever started 0-4 and went on to win. The 98 Yankees started 0-3 and went on to win 125 games (including playoffs) though.

None as a matter of fact only one team that started 0-7 finished above .500. So I fell sorry for those who bet the farm on that onderachiveing bunch of bums.

Im still a tigers fan, but I can't stand them anymore.
