Question:
How many homeruns do you think Ken Griffey Jr. will end his career with?

He'll probably pass 600 this season and if he plays another 5 seasons with 30 HR per, he could be around Bonds by the end of it.

I know health has always been an issue, but he looks great this year. Maybe he'll come back to Seattle as a DH and finish off his career when can't play outfield anymore.

He's always been a classy and likeable guy. I hope he finishes ahead of Bonds.

I really hope he beats Bonds, because Bonds does not deserve to beat Hank Aaron's long-standing record.

I say 650. He will hit 600 this year, but I don't know how many homers he'll hit in the future and if he'll be playing more than 3 seasons. I doubt he'll beat Barry Bonds. If you want hope that someone will beat Bonds, root for Alex Rodriguez. I'm a Met fan and I would still rather see Rodriguez with the HR record than Bonds.

He's 36 now, I believe, turning 37 in November. I'll assume Griffey Jr (who has 21 HR now for the year), will hit 40 for the year. Add 19 HR to his current total, 584, and it'll give you 603 at the conclusion of the 2007 season.

I'll give Griffey five more years, of 25 HR per year. That's 150 HR, plus 603 = 753.

Two away from Hank Aaron, which tells me Griffey Jr. will more than likely stick around to surpass Hammerin' Hank, and assuming Bonds HR mark isn't a considerable distance from Hank, Griffey may just shoot for Bonds (assuming he does pass Aaron).

I would say pretty close to 700, possibly more. I think he would have finished well ahead of Bonds if not for all the injuries. He's still a guarenteed Hall of Famer and one of the most likeable guys in the game.

He'll end up somewhere in the 680 to 700 range. I don't see him hanging around long enough to get to 755 or whatever Barry ends up with.
