That Guy? I would give anything to have his $$$$$millions to just be in the lineup is credit to his hitting. The Red Sox have the best hitters in baseball and David is only one of them on the Boston Red Sox. There is also Dusten, Jacob Elsbury. A. Gonzalez, Crawford, Veritek, Kevin Eukilis. Wow Id give anything for hitters like that and to include David Ortiz? Baseball is an entire season of wins and losses and any real fan knows that when a team wins the pitching is good and the hitters are getting on base and scoring runs. For an answere though he was not good last night. They had 2 hits. Thats Texas ranger pitching more than one Red Sox hitter.

Thank you for pwning the Red Sox today so the Yankees could take sole possession of first place in the American League East. Tired of Red Sox trolls talking about first place in the division.

You are probably the biggest troll on here. When do you ever say anything positive? Even when I ask questions about baseball trivia you would not answer my question you would insult me instead so I had to block you. You run down Jandy and now you are trying to act like him. Andrew Miller had a bad outing. David Ortiz did not drive in any runs tonight so what? The Yanks are only in first by 1/2 game. I hope you begin to find enjoyment in life without running down other users on Y!A. I truly do.

Boston fans were so arrogant and cocky that just because the Sox owned the Yankees, it would automatically send them to the World Series.

NEWSFLASH

Not only are they not the 108-54 dominant team ESPN said they'd be in April, but suddenly it looks like they may potentially play this SAME Texas team in the ALDS! Now, here's where Boston fans are contradictory. They say that Boston beating up on New York in the regular season matters, but Texas dominating Boston does not.

THEY CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS! Either both matter, or neither do.

You know what kills me? When Boston struggles, ESPN does whatever it can to justify it. Injuries, questionable calls, their ace vs. Boston's 4th starter, rain delay messed everyone up, etc etc yadda yadda. It gets old! They're treated like royalty babies! It's pathetic.

Contrary to what their fans or ESPN will tell you, Boston has a LOT of work to do if they're going to win in the playoffs.

Congrats, your team won a game.

Too bad if the Rangers were in the AL East they wouldn't even make the playoff's and they would be over 5 games back in the division.

I'm a little sick of both Sox and Yanks trolls, I mean I'm a Sox fan but I'm not on here every day saying "Yankees suck go Sox!". (it will be interesting to see how many angry fans thumbs-down

this answer).

Truth is Ortiz has actually had a pretty good season, because he remembered that you have to face lefties too. I was worried about him getting a platoon role, but that's not on the immediate horizon.

Truth is, all hitters have their good nights and bad nights. Ortiz has a few more bad nights because he's always been a high-strikeout hitter, but that doesn't make him less effective than low-k hitters. Just a little less consistent on a game-to-game basis.

Also, you can't really blame it all on Ortiz. I mean, the whole team came up short. Not to mention a great pitching performance by the Rangers.

Wow. Your cocky. Im a Rangers fan dont get me wrong but sayin that a player aint good after one day is crazy. What happens if tomorrow when Hamilton and Murphy cant get hits? Ya gonna say they suck too?

It's David "Ortiz", not "Ortez". And he just recently got back from an injury to his foot. Now, I'm sure that's not the main reason why he didn't bat well, but baseball batters go through cycles where they bat really well and when they slump and hit really awful. According to common laws of baseball, he should be cranking the ball pretty soon.

To bad the rangers arent the redsox, one game means nothing.
