I've heard him called Aaron "flipping" Boone. I've also heard him called Aaron "freaking" Boone.

How did Aaron Boone get his nickname? Who started it and is there a real meaning behind it?

If nothing else feel free to comment on Aaron Boone in general.

Aaron Boone got that name from Red Sox fans after he hit the game winning home run in the bottom of the 11th in games 7 of the 2003 ALCS.

What I think of Aaron Boone-A complete bust for the Indians. Used the money to sign him instead of resigning Omar Vizquel. I could field better than him at 3rd with my eyes closed.

It comes from him hitting a home run in the playoffs that helped the Yankees beat the Red Sox. The Red Sox were about to win the series, but Boone hit the big home run to crush the Red Sox fans.

its from Red Sox fans----he hit the walkoff HR in game 7 of the ALCS against them. They used to say "Bucky F'ing Dent" because of his damaging HR against them, but changed it to fit Aaron Boone's name.
